    It just so happens that those 4 areas of the apparel industry are highly competitive markets, require deep expertise, but have very few experts that have proven track records in launching multi-million-dollar products.

    Because of our knowledge in creating highly complex soft goods with multiple substrates, our portfolio has expanded into working with companies in the medical, smart garments, and the wearable device markets. We work with disposable and non-disposable soft goods, non-wovens, integrated devices, support devices, protective equipment, and FDA class 1 and 2 medical devices.

  • We are able to create a product from a napkin sketch to a fully finished product that can be manufactured.     Our experience is further layered by our expertise across virtual and physical product creation to commercialization. We have found each project is unique and each client is unique, therefore pricing menus simply do not work because the ranges are broad when taking into account each company’s deliverables.     Examples of apparel and sports apparel include: bras, sports bras, lingerie, swimwear, compression garments, leggings, tops, jackets, dresses, and underwear.

    Examples of medical devices and wearable devices include: localized devices, garment or devices worn on the torso for major organ monitoring and therapy, apparatuses, protective equipment, supportive devices, disposable and non-disposable garments and soft goods, and integrated devices such as with sensors or electronics.

  • Yes we work with a number of software and technology to create custom avatars. We have deep expertise in anthropometry, body scanning technologies, mocap, and measurement extraction methods to create avatars and products in a 3D environment. This helps us to save you time and cost during the design and development process.

    We also have a large portfolio of custom avatars ranging from XS-5X in male and female.

  • At The Squad, every project starts with strategy and planning..

    Our first step is to perform a discovery call with you or your team, and really get in your head. While we would have already written a scope of work, this enables us to ideate with you, make smart recommendations about design, data, creative concepts, and development. We will also discuss the project calendar and get into the details of the project plan.

    During the project timeline we will suggest regular touch points to deliver against the project scope, get live feedback, deliver presentations, conduct fit sessions or user testing, and make design revisions when necessary.

  • Developing products from an idea can take as little as 3 months and up to a few years. It all depends on the product’s complexity, available materials, technology, and how many virtual prototypes and physical prototypes are created to perfect the fit, comfort, function, and support.

  • In some cases, yes. We incorporate the latest technologies and methods to reduce the time to market. One of the ways we do this is by implementing virtual prototyping and virtual fittings. We approach each project and deliverable with the fastest method to get the product to market while still protecting product integrity.

  • It varies based on the client and scope of the project. We will typically start a project with a kick off call with your team and follow up with weekly touch bases during the project. On average you can expect to meet with us 1-2 hours a week.

  • Get in touch with a member of our strategy team to discuss your goals and develop a plan for your business. If for whatever reason you’re not thrilled with our approach to your project, you’ve risked nothing.

  • A technical package, tech pack, or specification package is essentially your blueprint for your product. It includes a list of materials used to create your product, how to measure images, measurements of your product, grade rules for your product, construction details, label and package details, design sketches, technical sketches, and more. These packages track your product development, history, and is used to communicate with a sample room and a manufacturer. The best technical packages are extremely detailed to support a swift development process, reduce communication issues, and provide clear instructions.
